Googleplex Goes Solar: The search company is partnering with EI Solutions to install solar panels on the rooftops of their Moutanin View CA campus. The 1.6 Megawatt array is expected to offset 30% of their peak energy consumption. Google already uses a lot of electricity: "The amount of electricity that will be generated is equivalent to powering about 1,000 average California homes." [Futurismic]
