Quit Smoking: Dave Winer writes, "A personal note. It's been 300 days since I smoked. I still want one from time to time. But I don't do it."
The Bear agrees. Back in 1982, a potential lover told Tame that smoking was "a disgusting habit." Bear quit that day. No cessation plan, no patches, no ramping down. Just cold turkey, with great resolve. The relationship didn't work out, but it was the start of a new and healthier way of life... Woodland Trust: Over the past five years the Woodland Trust has recycled nearly 200 million greeting cards -- raising funds to create and care for woodland at 28 sites across the UK. In addition to funding new tree planting, the recycling project saved 13,379 trees, 5,509,000 gallons of water, 3,305,400 KWh electricity, and reduced emissions by 15,740 lbs of carbon dioxide.
