A Big Garage: The new "GarageBand" music-making software Apple introduced yesterday demonstrates where the real market is for Apple products: people who want to be producers, not just consumers. "The vast majority of Wintel PCs are used as little more than modern-day typewriters. They're just office equipment." But there is a segment of computer users that wants to do more, and isn't getting it from the Microsoft-flavored platform. These are the ones who can truly benefit from the creative, emotive, productive tools from Apple. [Daring Fireball via MyAppleMenu]
